Introduction
InnoICT Business Plan Competition 2018 is an event organized by Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Manetic) and Tertiary Education Services Office, with the support of different organizations to promote ICT innovation development in Macau, which pushes forward the development channels for local innovative and ICT thoughts. The competition is tailored-made for college students. The three winning teams will be provided a platform to succeed their dreams by Manetic, in addition to a basket of prizes, software and hardware support from other organizers, sponsors and supporters
Objectives
- To encourage and push innovative thinking forward locally
- To facilitate local innovative ICT development and support college students to fulfill their dreams
- To enhance collaboration and communication between ICT and academic talents
Eligibility
- 1 to 5 college students in each team and mingling among different institutions is welcomed;
- At least half of the team members are Macau ID cardholders. Macau students who study abroad may join the competition with students in that locality;
- Student who participated and was granted award in the previous InnoICT is not eligible to this year’s competition;
- Participants may invite an instructor/instructors to give competition advice and guidance on business proposal;
- The business proposal must be presented in Macau;
- The business proposal must be related to Information & Communication Technology.

This competition provides a unique opportunity along with extensive support resources to the winning teams to achieve their dreams.

Remarks:
(*) The winning teams are entitled to the above awards remarked with (*) only when they decide to start-up business by implementing their awarded business plan in Macau.The funding will be divided into two parts, the first part will be issued one month after the company has started up, and the next part of the funding (MOP25,000) will be issued in the third month.
In the scenario that the champion team (1st place) is not going to implement their business plan, the start-up fund will be transferred to the next eligible winning team which decides to start-up business according to their awarded business plan. If there is no winning teams going to start-up business, the awards will be automatically transferred to next year’s competition.

Champion: Coupons worth MOP 1,500
First runner-up: Coupons worth MOP 1,000
Second runner-up: Coupons worth MOP 500

Competition Schedule
April: | Online registration is commenced on 16st April 2018. |
June: | Application deadline is 29th June 2018. Participants are required to attend InnoICT Competition Workshop held on 29th June 2018. This workshop is a briefing session on writing business proposal and speakers will be invited to share their experience. |
July: | Business Plans must be submitted on or before 31st July 2018, 5p.m. |
August: | Organizers will announce finalists on 10th August 2018. Both business plans and POC (Proof of Concept) are presented by finalists to judges from 9a.m. to 6p.m. on 25thAugust 2018. Winners will be announced in the award ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on 27th August 2018. Venue for award ceremony is yet to be confirmed. |

Registration
- InnoICT is open for application from 16th April to 20th June 2018. Application can be done via online registration www.manetic.org/innoict/reg.
- The following must be submitted to Macau New Technologies Incubator Centre (Av. Infante D. Henrique, No. 43-53A, 7 Andar, Edf. The Macau Square) on or before 31st July 2018, 5p.m. ;
- Business proposal in hardcopy and softcopy in CD or DVD each.
- Competing teams may optionally submit, along with the business proposal, a presentation of their business concept in CD or DVD in less than 5 minutes.
- Less than10 finalists will be announced on 10th August 2018 at www.manetic.org/innoict/ann. Teams qualified will be informed personally.

b. | Each business plan is limited to 30 A4 pages (including pictures, graphs and appendices) and shall be written in either English or Chinese; |

f. | The organizers of the InnoICT shall not be responsible for any intellectual property violation by competition participants; |
g. | All materials submitted to InnoICT will not be returned; |
h. | All materials received during the judging process shall be used exclusively for InnoICT; |
i. | In case of any dispute, competition committee’s decision shall be final and binding |
