The Online Zoom Entrepreneurship Training Workshop of “2020 Bank of China Trophy – One Million Dollar Macao Regional Entrepreneurship Competition” was successfully held in the morning and afternoon of April 24th . This workshop invited six professional mentors from the fields of law, investment, entrepreneurship education, etc. to share their experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship.
In the morning session, Mr. Wang Kun, Director of Service Department of Hengqin Financial Investment Innovalley Incubator Management Co., Ltd., shared the theme with “Four Strategic Thinking of Entrepreneurs”. Ms. Wang Liping, a full-time lawyer of Beijing Yingke Law Firm (Shenzhen Branch), explained the matters needing attention regarding the venture capital for the teams and gave an in-depth explanation of the importance of choosing an industry, region and team focus. Moreover, Mr. Jiang Shaoping, Director of the Innovation Development Department of Sun Yat-Sen University Shenzhen Research Institute, shared a discussion on the common problems that university students usually face during their innovation and entrepreneurship and the weaknesses that need to be improved and paid attention on.
In the afternoon session, Dr. Shao Hongyu, Director of Innovation Research Institute of Kaisa Technology Group in Shenzhen, shared his personal entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Zhang Ao, Deputy General Manager of GreatWalle Investment Holding Co., Ltd., shared the theme of “Viewing Current Innovation and Entrepreneurship Opportunities from the Perspective of M&A Funds” and introduced the general operation mode of M&A funds, as well as the current market situation underCOVID-19 pneumonia and the recent years’ development trend. Prof. Jerome Yen, Head of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Macau discussed about how to write a good business plan and focus sharing on the contents and factors that must be included in the business plan presentation and elevator speech.
After the entrepreneurship training workshop, the participating teams all expressed that the workshop benefited them greatly, especially the online guidance of the mentors also made them more clearly aware of the problems in their projects and how to solve them in the future. Mentors will continue to communicate online with the project teams entering the semi-finals, make an in-depth analysis of the project’s advantages and existing problems, and provide professional advice on the project’s future development path so that the team will perform better in subsequent events.
