TRACKS:
The competition is focused on technology startups in the following 6 tracks:
Artificial Intelligence / Big Data  / Fintech
Biotech / Public Health
New-Generation Information Technology
New Energy / New Materials and Smart Equipment
Cultural / Creative Industries
Others

GROUPS:
Each track is divided into two groups:
Maker Group:  For entries that have not been registered in Beijing at the time of registration.
Growth Group:  For entries that have been registered in Beijing at the time of registration.
Entries can be declared in the name of individuals or teams. Individuals and team members participating in the project should have:
1. Obtained an educational degree overseas, or have studied, worked, or started a business overseas for more than 1 year, while having returned to China for no more than 10 years.
2. Only one project per individual/team can take part in the competition.
3. Additional conditions for different groups must also be met as stated below:

3.1 Maker Group
The participant is willing to start a business in Beijing and promise to land the project in Beijing in the form of a company within 1 year of receiving the award.
If the project is declared in the name of an individual,that individual should be the founder of the landing company and the largest natural person shareholder, holding no less than 30% of shares.
For a project declared in the name of a team, the team can have no more than 5 individuals, and the team’s equity should account for no less than 50% of the total equity of the landing company.

3.2 Growth Group
The company must have been established less than 10 years.
If the project is declared in the name of an individual, that individual should be the company’s main founder and the first natural person shareholder, holding no less than 30% of shares.
For a project declared in the name of a team, the team can have no more than 5 individuals, and the team should hold no less than 50% of the company’s total equity.

Champion Awards (1st place) – 90,000 HKD

Awards of Merit (2nd – 3rd place) – 40,000 HKD
3-Month Free Spaces(BHL International Business Center, Sheung Wan);

Excellence Award (4th – 10th place) – 5,000 HKD

4.2 HICOOL AWARDS
First Prize (1st – 5th place) – Cash prize of RMB 2 million / USD $280,000
Second Prize (6th – 20th place) – Cash prize of RMB 1 million / USD $140,000
Third Prize (21st – 50th place) – Cash prize of RMB 500,000 / USD $70,000
Winning Prize (51st – 100th place) – Cash prize of RMB 200,000 / USD $28,000
In order to receive the cash prizes, company registration in  Beijing is necessary with free services provided by the Organizer. Awardees will also be entitled to reimburse all travel expenses to attend the Finals in Beijing, China and 3 years free office space in Beijing.

SUPPORT PACKAGE
For projects who have entered Semi-Final, the Organizing Committee will arrange visit to Beijing’s innovation and entrepreneurship sites, and to get acquainted with the administrative districts, entrepreneurial parks, investment institutions, and industry leaders of Beijing. After the competition, they will also assist the shortlisted projects to expand in the Chinese market, building a communication platform for resource docking.

Office Space
According to the category of the project, Shunyi Hycore Tower will provide up to 3 years free office and no more than 300 square meters to the awardees. Beijing International Talent Communities, Zhongguancun Life Science Park, Haidian Overseas Entrepreneur Park, Wangjing Overseas Entrepreneur Park, and other overseas entrepreneurial parks would provide office space rent reduction and exemption for the winning teams in the Global Final.
