Postdoctoral Fellow (Technology Transfer) for the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Institute of Collaborative Innovation

To cope with the development of ICI-CIE, ICI-CIE invites applications for the position of Post-doctoral Fellow to conduct research for formulating technology transfer strategies for the Big Health Accelerator, facilitate the market translation of high-quality research outcomes, and cultivate a technology management team.

Initial appointment is up to 12 months with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for technology evaluation and commercialization pathway design in the big health sector, including biopharma, AI in healthcare, smart devices, etc.
  2. Screen high-potential research projects and provide guidance on proof of concept, market positioning, and financing strategies.
  3. Build an industry-academia-research collaboration platform to connect medical institutions, investors, and industrial resources, facilitating technology commercialization.
  4. Lead startup training camps and acceleration programs to develop researchers’ commercialization capabilities.
  5. Develop conversion process standards and optimize intellectual property management and technology licensing mechanisms.
  6. Lead junior teams to enhance overall project identification and resource integration capabilities

Qualifications

  1. Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering or related technical fields; preferably with complementary knowledge in Business, Management or Law;
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology transfer, startup incubation, venture capital or healthcare industries with proven leadership in successful commercialization cases;
  3. Thorough understanding of big health industry ecosystems, including key aspects of investment/financing, patent strategy, and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in healthtech/biopharma product R&D and commercialization is a plus;
  4. Demonstrated excellence in resource integration with ability to independently engage multiple stakeholders (research teams, enterprises, government);
  5. Full professional proficiency in both Chinese and English, coupled with strategic thinking and leadership competencies.

 Remuneration 

A taxable monthly remuneration in the range of of MOP 30,000 to 45,000 will be commensurate with the applicant’s academic qualifications and relevant professional experience.
