National Co-working Space
Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of UM is a practical platform for the research, innovation and transformation system of UM, and has been approved as a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship space. CIE is dedicated to assisting UM faculty, students, alumni, and staff to transform their innovative ideas with commercial potential into entrepreneurial practices. It also leverages UM’s research and industry support platform to commercialize their research achievements.
The centre offers 1,700+ square meters of open incubation space, equipped with:
- Smart shared workspaces and private offices (capacity for 50+ startup teams)
- 100+ seat multifunctional hall (for road show , training, and exhibitions)
- Bookable meeting rooms (with remote collaboration tools)
- Communal areas: Lounge, dining zone, printing station, campus-wide high-speed Wi-Fi, gym, and more
Social Space and Supporting Amenities
The surrounding complex features dining options, retail shops, banking services, accommodation, and large-scale conference venues.
Guidelines for Incubation Space Usage
To ensure efficient utilization and standardized management, CIE has established detailed Rules of Incubation Space Usage (see attached document). All resident teams must review and comply with these guidelines, which outline space access privileges, equipment protocols, and safety measures—fostering a fair, productive, and secure innovation environment.
