From 0 to 1: The Path of Entrepreneurial Practice
Business, Taxation, and Legal Course

Purpose: The course aims to provide comprehensive support for current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and teams that have registered for or are currently incubated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre who are interested in starting their own businesses. It covers various areas including accounting, law, and business knowledge, helping participants gain an in‑depth understanding of the challenges and difficulties they may encounter during the entrepreneurial process. Through guidance from professional instructors, participants will learn how to manage finances effectively, comply with legal regulations, and formulate business strategies. In addition, the course includes case studies to inspire participants to draw practical insights from real‑world examples.

· 21 March 2026 (Saturday), 10:00–13:00
· 22 March 2026 (Sunday), 10:00–13:00 and 14:30–17:30 (Attendance on both days is required.)

Venue: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, 1/F, N1 University Mall, University of Macau

Target Participants: 1. Teams applying for or already admitted to the Centre (priority given). 2. UM students and staff interested in entrepreneurship.

Quota: 50 participants (Limited seats. Final confirmation will be sent via email.)

Language: Mandarin and Cantonese (Mandarin as the primary language)

Certificate: Participants who complete both days of the course and fulfil the sign‑in and sign‑out requirements will receive a certificate.

Hiu-Fung LAM

• Chief Executive Officer, Huihong Capital Limited; Dean, Huihong Institute
• Adjunct Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Mr. Xiaofeng Lin has over twenty years of experience in corporate operations and management. He specializes in corporate innovation and technology commercialization, with a strong focus on strategic planning, project diagnostics, and technological innovation. He has successfully facilitated the commercial implementation of multiple research and development outcomes. As a consultant for various large corporations and research institutions, and as an adjunct professor at several universities, he provides guidance on entrepreneurship and technological innovation, cultivating a new generation of entrepreneurs and innovative talent. His contributions have played a significant role in advancing the integration of technology and business development in both Mainland China and Hong Kong.

CHEONG WANG CHIT

Barrister Hongzhe Zhang is a registered barrister of the Macau Lawyers Association and one of the first lawyers qualified to practise in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. He was officially admitted to practice in 2013 and passed the GBA Legal Professional Examination in 2021. He currently serves as Macau Law Joint Partner at King & Wood Mallesons (Hengqin) Joint Operation Office, practising across the nine Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area and Macau. He has extensive experience in civil, criminal, and commercial litigation, and is particularly skilled in handling major criminal cases, corporate litigation, and real estate transactions.

• Xincheng Lingjun Liu Guo Joint Taxation Firm (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.
Ms. Danqing Lu is a practising accountant in Macau as well as a certified accountant in Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. She is a doctoral researcher and has served as a visiting lecturer at various higher education institutions and as the chair of several advisory committees. She founded Huameng Lingjun Liu Guo Joint Tax Advisors (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the first tripartite joint tax advisory firm established collaboratively by Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. She also serves as the President of the Macau Chinese Accountants Association and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association.

The course content includes, but is not limited to, the following topics and may be adjusted appropriately according to students’ progress and instructors’ recommendations.
