
The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of the University of Macau (UM) incubated startup company, MM (Macau) Biotechnology Limited and SINE (Shanghai) Pharmacy Limited, successfully held a cooperation agreement signing on January 28th. Leveraging their respective strengths, the two parties will integrate R&D and industrialization resources to inject new momentum into the development of Macau’s Big Health industry.
Wang Ziming, MM (Macau) Biotechnology Limited, and Wei Haolin, General Manager of SINE (Shanghai) Pharmacy Limited jointly signed the cooperation agreement. The signing also included other SINE (Shanghai) Pharmacy Limited representatives, and was witnessed by Prof. Elaine Lai Han LEUNG Head of UM CIE, and Mr. Lan Canhui, Dean of the Beijing Chinagut Research Institute. According to the agreement, building upon a longstanding foundation of friendly cooperation, the two parties will further deepen mutually beneficial collaboration in areas such as the transformation of medicinal and edible homologous traditional Chinese medicine and TCM polysaccharides. In addition, the parties agree to collaborate with research and commercialization of intestinal microecology technologies, aiming to achieve resource complementarity and synergistic development.
The delegation also visited the scientific research laboratories of the University of Macau and conducted on-site inspections of the MCCY Science & Big Health Manufactory and Macau-Union Pharmaceutical Limited, gaining an in-depth understanding of Macau’s development in the fields of Big Health product manufacturing and pharmaceutical production.
