The second phase of the “From 1 to 2: Entrepreneurial Solutions” joint program between the University of Macau’s CIE and MBA has been successfully launched.

To deepen industry-academia collaboration and improve the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, The University of Macau Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (CIE) and the University of Macau Master of Business Administration (MBA) program have partnered again, jointly launching the second phase of the “From 1 to 2: Entrepreneurial Solutions” program course. This program aims to build a practical platform for industry-academia collaboration, allowing MBA student teams to serve as business consultants for companies, providing practical solutions to real challenges faced by enterprises in different industries.

The program was first launched last year and received high praise from participating faculty, students, and startup companies. This year, CIE has invited three incubated startup companies to participate: Mingwei Microbiology (Macao) Co., Ltd., Yingsheng Waste Products Co., Ltd., and Chenguang Xin Ye (Zhuhai) Technology Culture Co., Ltd. In addition, local catering company “Yueyuan Siji” has also joined the course to collaborate with the new cohort of MBA students.

The first meeting of this program course was successfully conducted on January 26th, where participating company representatives and MBA students formally met, got to know each other and had initial exchanges. The on-site interaction was enthusiastic and the atmosphere was lively.

At the meeting, Assistant Professor Ru Di from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center stated: This cooperation builds a valuable bridge for our incubated companies. Enterprises often encounter various specific business challenges during their growth stage, and the professional knowledge and fresh perspectives brought by MBA students can provide highly valuable analysis and recommendations for them.

Course instructor He Yi stated: “Business Consulting Methods” is an essential practical component of the MBA program. We are delighted to collaborate with multiple representative companies, allowing students to gain experience in real business environments, creating value for enterprises while also enhancing their decision-making and leadership capabilities.
