UM students win six prizes at international entrepreneurship competition

Four student teams from the University of Macau (UM) recently won six prizes in the national final of the One Million Dollar International Entrepreneurship Competition 2018, including a third prize, three outstanding team awards, a student team award, and a second prize in the presentation category. This year’s competition received nearly 1,000 business proposals, 35 of which advanced to the national final. The UM teams competed with teams from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, and Hong Kong in the final. Founded by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2011, the competition aims to attract commercially viable business ideas. Since 2016, the Macao regional competition has been hosted by UM and sponsored by the Bank of China Macau Branch.
