Zhejiang University 2025 SDG Global Summer School – Sustainable Production and Consumption has opened for applications!
The Zhejiang University 2025 SDG Global Summer School on Sustainable Production and Consumption is scheduled for June 30 to July 11, 2025, on campus.
Zhejiang University invites students globally to participate in the Global Summer School, which offers both academic learning and cultural experiences. This two-week program enables undergraduate and graduate students to enroll in credit-bearing courses focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), guided by esteemed professors from ZJU and partner institutions.
About the Program
The course consists of 48 hours divided into three modules, followed by a group presentation evaluation.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Understand and articulate the tensions between environmental sustainability and other goals in contemporary business contexts.
- Identify current and potential future solutions and opportunities to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Apply the principles and practices of sustainable management across key functions such as strategy, marketing, operations, and finance.
- Develop and communicate specific initiatives aimed at enhancing the sustainability of production and consumption systems in various contexts.
To help you achieve these learning objectives, we offer a diverse range of sessions that examine sustainable production and consumption systems from multiple perspectives and employ various learning approaches. These sessions are conducted by experts with extensive academic and industrial experience at the forefront of sustainability and management.
Program
- The program fees (application fee, tuition, accommodation, visits, and activities) are exempted.
- Subject to assessment and undertaking, the University of Macau will sponsor the transportation expenses and travel insurance.
**Warm reminder
- Participants are responsible for their expenses such as visa fees, extra-activities fees, and the optional Day Return Weekend, etc.
- The program will cover the attendee’s accommodation from June 30 to July 11, 2025.

1. Eligibility
UM students are eligible, with priority given to:
- Local students who demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Members of the CIE incubation teams will receive priority.

4. How to Apply
Applicants must submit the following documents to: ICI.Innovation@um.edu.mo
- A résumé detailing your educational and professional experiences, interests, and other relevant information.
- A scanned copy of your Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents (回鄉證).
- A digital copy of your passport-sized photo.
5. Assessment
Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview scheduled for April 8, 2025 (Tuesday).
6. Undertaking
Nominated students must submit a reflection paper on this program, which should be no fewer than 2 pages (single-spaced).
