The seminar on China’s taxation and foreign investment policies, organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the University of Macau and Huameng Lingjun Liu Guo Associated Tax Accountants (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., was successfully held on March 4, 2022. Guests in attendance included Ms. Stella Lok, Managing Partner of Lingjun Certified Public Accountants and Associate Partner of Huameng Lingjun Liu Guo Associated Tax Accountants (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Ms. Peng Hongshan, partner of Huameng Technology Consulting (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Mr. Wai Hong SIO, Honorary President of Macau Shenzhen Longhua Economic and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association, Ms. Coco Li, Vice President of Macau Shenzhen Longhua Economic and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association, and Prof. Jerome Yen, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the University of Macau.
In this seminar, Mr. Peng introduced foreign investment policies and Chinese taxation to the participants, including an overview of Chinese taxation, an introduction to important domestic taxes, and domestic tax incentives.
After the seminar, Prof. Yan Zhihong and Ms. Lok Danqing gave speeches for the establishment of cooperation between the two parties. Both parties expressed that the establishment of the partnership can fully utilize their respective strengths and promote the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship, high-tech, and financial technology projects into the economic development of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau Bay Area, which holds a long-term significance. We hope that our staff, students, and alumni will seize the opportunity of the development of the Bay Area and contribute to the development of our country.
